- Memmingen Local Court orders preliminary insolvency administration on 03.02.2025 and appoints Dr. Matthias Hofmann as preliminary insolvency administrator
- Focus on investor search
- Investor search in critical phase - only a few days to go
Munich/Memmingerberg, February 12, 2025
SST Flugtechnik GmbH had to file for insolvency. On February 3, 2025, the Local Court of Memmingen ordered provisional insolvency administration over the company's assets and appointed Dr. Matthias Hofmann from the law firm POHLMANN HOFMANN as provisional insolvency administrator.
With a small but highly specialized team, SST Flugtechnik GmbH has been approved as a Design Organization by the European Aviation and Space Agency (EASA) since 2015. It is thus authorized to develop and design aircraft, aircraft parts and systems.
“Following an initial assessment, we are in close contact with the company's management and employees and with EASA. Our main focus is to find an investor in the short term in order to secure the future of the company," explains Munich-based lawyer Dr. Matthias Hofmann of the law firm POHLMANN HOFMANN, which specializes in complex insolvency and restructuring cases. The provisional insolvency administrator and his team have only a few days left to find an investor: "If no solution is found in the next few days, operations will probably have to cease at the end of February".
SST Flugtechnik GmbH is of particular interest to companies in the aviation industry looking to establish or expand their own design organization.
SST Flugtechnik GmbH is located on the premises of Memmingen Airport and currently employs seven people who perform all the necessary functions of a design organization. As holder of the type certificate for the aircraft models Extra 400 and Extra 500, SST Flugtechnik GmbH is responsible for their airworthiness, system upgrades and design optimizations. In addition, the company has developed several Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs), in particular for the Daher Kodiak 100 aircraft model, and provides engineering and certification support in areas such as development support, flight test installations, system integration, structural analysis and repair development.
